Big news! After months and months of recording, mixing, sequencing, remixing, and mastering, PTS are proud to announce their next release, which will be two-fold!

The first of the releases is a web exclusive album. This album is available as a FREE download on the DISCOGRAPHY page!

Magic Jar of Jar of Animal features eleven 320kbps MP3's, and artwork for the taking. This is a first for us, and we are very excited!

DOWNLOAD THE RECORD!

The second release will be a physical in an undetermined format. Wild Cheetahs, Blazing Lasers, and the Lightning Lords, will be available at shows, online at the Sort Of Records store, as well as on iTunes, Emusic and Klicktrack!

These songs were all improvised, written, re-written, re-improvised, post-mixed, un-mixed, and re-recorded at the Hox Bot in Brighton, MA from August 2007 to January 2008. We hope you enjoy!

Thank you, to everyone who came to the Pittsburgh and Boston shows! Super special thanks to Ernie Kim for his masterful horn playing, lending us more murky harmony to wade through and explore -- it made both performances all the better!

We have finished mixing and are busy compiling a running order for the next release. It looks to be a strong 13 tracks, with an hour of music.

David Bernabo be with you our children, forever and ever.

Slowly but slowly, we are finishing up these records. At this stage it looks to be 3 LP's, but it's hard to tell. We tested out a few of the newest compositions live on the radio a few weeks back, on 88.1FM's Pipeline! Check out the MUSIC section to stream them -

Video of the performance can be found streaming in the IMAGES section!

Happy New Year ya'lls!

We played a string of shows toward the end of the year that has fulfilled our contract with ourselves, and our hearts, and your ears. Some of those can be found streaming in the MUSIC section.

There is a review of Magnum Puce in the Northeast Performer, and one of the live show at the Milky Way, in which we are described as really good bowling music. Check it all out in the PRESS section.

On to more recording! We are currently making about 5 records simultaneously, while scouting for venues that will allow us to have a set time of an hour and a half. If anything develops I will be sure to report back.

The Mini-tour is done. It was way too much fun. Some recordings exist, which will be posted in the Music section for your streaming pleasure. A BIG thanks to the following people for making it happen, and for making it awesome: Bill "Bill-son Phillips" Sullivan, George "George-ous" Welch, all of the crazy guys in This Car Up, Jinsen, Brett Nagafuchi, Joe Barker, and Ray-Min.

There is a feature on PTS in InSite Magazine, by Thom Plasse. Check it out here! And if you can find a hard copy of one somewhere in the city, let us know - we are still looking.

Flying Hearse is available for purchase on Sort Of Records dot Com!

October 27, 2007

Flying Hearse will be available for the upcoming MINI Tour that will take the bands far out improvisations to the far stretches of Ohio and Pennsylvania!

This double-CD was recorded on the weekend of October 13th, live in the Hoxbot.

Dark tunnels that leave you with bird bites screaming of broken canoes. Clicks that conjure chirps only the cream of the crop could ever croon.
All this can only mean one thing: We are sorting through miles and miles of tape that was recorded at the Hox Bot over the past few months. It's all very exciting stuff, but at this point we can only disclose that there will be one new song on the upcoming Sort Of Records 2008 Sampler. Stay on the edge of your laptop.

August 30, 2007

The O'Briens show is now up for download and streaming, in the MUSIC section. There are some song repeats for different shows, but each version is pretty unique. Collect them all!

Lastly, we have a split release on cassette with Fauves, on the new White Lodge Tapes label. Our side is three new compositions: Dear Dracula, Just So You Know Don't Ever Do That Again, and Silk Socks. WL001 Fauves/Paper Thin Stages
